Larry and Péter spent the morning and early afternoon in Bruges, the lovely medieval town that is only about 15 minutes away from Oostende. With the weather cooperating it turned out to be another absolutely gorgeous day to be out and about. It really was a photographer's dream!
The Church of our Lady has one of the very few statues by Michelangelo located outside of Italy. It was surprising to see a modern-day version of the Stations of the Cross throughout the church. The traditional stations were illustrated with contemporary black and white photographs. This anachronistic presentation served to cause the viewer to pause and consider the passion of Christ in a new way.
